Adding S.O.A.P Notes Into Your Patient Files


 

Professional users of QuickPractice have the ability to add S.O.A.P notes into their patient files.

 
To create S.O.A.P. notes for on individual patient file, follow the procedure below.

1. Open a patient chart and navigate to the S.O.A.P Notes tab. For an explanation of this screen, click here.

2. Click the Add button. The S.O.A.P Note dialogue will appear.

3. To create the S.O.A.P. note simply type the notes into the blank field, or click the yellow S.O.A.P Notes Listings bar at the top of the dialog to load a previously stored note. If using the S.O.A.P notes listings you can add items into it from this screen, or through the S.O.A.P notes listings group found under the QuickPractice Lists menu.

4. Double click on any listing to "dump" it into the dialogue field below.

5. If you wish to add any diagnosis into the S.O.A.P note, click on the Diagnose button at the bottom of the S.O.A.P note dialog.

6. After you are satisfied with the S.O.A.P note you have created, make sure that the Case Number and Date are both specified at the bottom of the dialog.

7. Click OK.

8. To edit or delete any S.O.A.P note, simply highlight a previously recorded note and click the Edit or Delete button.
