The Patient Ledger


 
The Patient Ledger is a record of all transactions that have been entered for a particular patient. The patient ledger will display both payment and charge transactions, as well as transfers and write-offs.
 
! IMPORTANT: Although the Add/Edit/Delete keys are displayed inside the patient ledger, payment and charge transactions cannot be recorded, edited or deleted directly from the ledger.

 

When viewing your Patient Ledger, you have a few options that to modify what is displayed on the screen.

 

  • Summary/Detail - Clicking Detail will expand the transaction column so that the details of each particular transaction are shown, such as the specific service description or payment method. If viewing the ledger in Summary mode, these details will not be displayed. Instead, payments and charges will be indicated in abbreviations, regardless of their type or description.
  • Dates - Using this drop down menu will filter your patient ledger so that only items falling within the specified time frame are displayed.
  • From-To - You may also enter a more specific range of dates than those shown in the Dates drop down.
