QuickPractice
Supports Local University
Quickpractice is proud to join with our nationally recognized
Nassau Community College to help students learn hands-on the
business community, as well as the technical skills needed
to succeed in todays highly competitive market. The program
entails students actually taking on real business projects,
as well as learning how to handle techincal support issues
in real-time with real clients. While being highly supervised,
the intern is taught the skills in problem solving, customer
relations, and technical support. These abilities will give
them a head start when they are ready to enter the work force
full time. We are proud to be partners in this project, assisting
students in learning for the technology of tomorrow.

Statewide Golf Tournament
On September 16 QuickPractice had the privilage of attending
and sponsoring a statewide golf tournament in Minnesota for
healthcare providers. It was a great day for Golf as the participants
teed off to support healthcare within thier state. One of
our National Associates Brett Brakemeier was there handing
out free refreshments to all the golfers. The day ended with
a great dinner and a free give-away. One lucky golfer won
a free Deluxe version of QuickPractice. Its just another way
of saying thank you to all the providers that made QuickPractice
a national success.
Are You Charging
the Correct Fee?
Provided by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
By clicking on the link below you can search information
on services covered by the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule
(MPFS). It provides more than 10,000 physician services, the
associated relative value units, a fee schedule status indicator,
and various payment policy indicators needed for payment adjustment
(i.e., payment of assistant at surgery, team surgery, bilateral
surgery, etc.).
The Medicare physician fee schedule pricing amounts are adjusted
to reflect the variation in practice costs from area to area.
A geographic practice cost index (GPCI) has been established
for every Medicare payment locality for each of the three
components of a procedure's relative value unit (i.e., the
RVUs for work, practice expense, and malpractice). The GPCIs
are applied in the calculation of a fee schedule payment amount
by multiplying the RVU for each component times the GPCI for
that component.
The site is designed to take you through the selection steps
prior to the display of the information.
The site allows you to:
• search pricing amounts, various payment policy indicators,
RVUs, and GPCIs by a single procedure code, a range and a
list of procedure codes.
• search for the nation, a specific carrier, or a specific
carrier locality. Each page has associated Help/Hint available
to complete your selections
